One Book Every Hour : SANASA Life Brings Reading to the Forefront at Colombo International Book Fair
One book every hour for ten days — SANASA Life Insurance Company PLC brought a meaningful focus to reading and knowledge at the Colombo International Book Fair, partnering with the event as its Official Insurance Partner and turning its presence into an initiative that put books directly into the hands of readers.
Through its special “One Book Every Hour” initiative, SANASA Life gave away books throughout the ten-day exhibition, encouraging visitors to discover new stories, explore ideas and embrace the habit of reading. The initiative reflected the Company’s belief that investing in a better future goes beyond financial protection to include knowledge, learning and personal development.
Speaking about the initiative, Mahesh Wickramathunga, Head of Marketing at SANASA Life Insurance, said:
“We wanted our participation in the Colombo International Book Fair to create a meaningful experience for visitors, rather than simply establish a brand presence. By giving away a book every hour throughout the exhibition, we wanted to celebrate reading in a practical way and encourage more people to make books part of their lives. At SANASA Life, we believe that stronger futures are built through both financial security and access to knowledge. This initiative brought those values together in a way that people of all ages could experience.”
SANASA Life also extended the initiative to its social media platforms, inviting participants to share the name of a book they love, with three selected participants receiving books of their choice.
The partnership provided SANASA Life with an opportunity to connect with readers and families while demonstrating its commitment to community-focused initiatives that extend beyond its core insurance business.
Through this initiative, SANASA Life reinforced a simple message: protecting the future means more than preparing for life’s uncertainties; it also means creating opportunities to learn, grow and imagine what is possible.
