With the arrival of Uber Eats, locals and tourists alike get access to a wide range of categories\u2014whether it\u2019s ordering a quick snack, getting dinner delivered for the family, or ordering ingredients for a home-cooked meal from neighborhood stores. Popular local favourites like the Chamee Group of Restaurants; Alankulama Group of Restaurants; My Burger; Hotel Singha Kanuwa; and Rasa Gedara are now just a few taps away\u2014bringing trusted local flavours onto the Uber Eats app for the first time.<\/p>\n

As part of the launch, Uber Eats has partnered with the local government for this year\u2019s Vesak celebrations in Anuradhapura. The company is supporting enhancements around the Kubichchankulama lake area, installing directional signage across key pilgrimage sites, and helping organize community events\u2014including a national Pandol competition, cultural performances by local schools, and an open-air LED film screening\u2014to enhance the experience for thousands of residents and visitors during this important cultural occasion.<\/p>\n

With the latest expansion, Uber Eats further solidifies its position as Sri Lanka\u2019s go-to delivery platform, connecting locals and tourists with the best the island nation has to offer. In February, Uber Eats expanded to Matara, Weligama, and Mirissa, strengthening its footprint along the Southern Coast after adding Koggala, Talpe, and Ahangama in December 2024. In March 2025, the service was also extended to Veyangoda and Nittambuwa, expanding coverage across the Colombo\u2013Gampaha districts.
