{"id":3541,"date":"2025-03-24T09:50:18","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T04:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.lankanewsnetwork.com\/?p=3541"},"modified":"2025-03-24T09:50:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T04:20:45","slug":"57-arrested-in-raid-on-instagram-party-in-pamunugama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.lankanewsnetwork.com\/?p=3541","title":{"rendered":"57 arrested in raid on \u2018Instagram party\u2019 in Pamunugama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fifty-seven suspects have been arrested during a raid carried out at a hotel in the Uswetakeiyawa area of Pamunugama, following a tip-off that an \u2018Instagram party\u2019 was being held involving illegal drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The youths who attended the party last night (23) had been using \u2018Ice\u2019 (Crystal Methamphetamine) and cannabis, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, 16 suspects have been arrested for the possession of \u2018Ice\u2019 and Kerala cannabis.<\/p>\n<p>Police have also arrested 7 female suspects and 34 male suspects who attended the party at the hotel, which had been organised through Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the owner of the hotel, where the party was held, has also been arrested with 3 grams and 200 milligrams of \u2018Ice\u2019 (Crystal Methamphetamine).<\/p>\n<p>The arrested suspects are residents of Colombo and suburbs, and their ages range from 18 to 35.<\/p>\n<p>Pamunugama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fifty-seven suspects have been arrested during a raid carried out at a hotel in the Uswetakeiyawa area of Pamunugama, following a tip-off that an \u2018Instagram party\u2019 was being held involving illegal drugs.
