LANKAPAK 2026 Set to Drive Growth and Innovation in Sri Lanka’s Packaging Industry
Sri Lanka’s packaging industry is undergoing significant change as businesses face growing demands for sustainability, resource efficiency, innovation, technology and compliance with international market requirements. LANKAPAK 2026, Sri Lanka’s premier international Packaging, Printing, Paper, Plastics and Converting Exhibition, will be held from 23rd to 25th October 2026 at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre (SBMEC), BMICH, Colombo.
Organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging (SLIP) in collaboration with CDC Events, the 27th edition will feature more than 160 exhibition stalls representing over 80 companies from Sri Lanka and overseas, including participants from China, India, Pakistan, Maldives and other South Asian countries.
A key contribution of LANKAPAK 2026 will be bringing technology providers, manufacturers, exporters, suppliers, buyers and industry professionals from the packaging, printing, paper, plastics and converting sectors together on one platform. The exhibition will enable businesses to discover new technologies, improve production efficiency, reduce waste, enhance product quality, develop partnerships and explore new markets. It will also provide SMEs and entrepreneurs with industry knowledge, expert advice and solutions to improve their products and strengthen export readiness.
As international markets increasingly focus on sustainability, recyclability, safety and quality standards, LANKAPAK will help Sri Lankan businesses understand changing requirements and identify innovative and sustainable solutions across the industry.
Held concurrently on 23rd and 24th October, the SLIP Annual Packaging Congress 2026, under the theme “Rewriting Packaging in the New Global Economic Landscape,” will bring together industry leaders, academics, policymakers and professionals to discuss sustainability, innovation, emerging technologies and changing global market requirements.
The Packaging Clinic will provide practical guidance on packaging design, material selection, standards, product development, sustainability and export readiness, while Daily Tech Forum sessions will highlight emerging technologies, innovative materials and global industry trends.
